Jack Bonomo
Mr. Bonomo has over 30 years of experience in the specialized field of operations, maintenance, and management of water and wastewater pumping and treatment facilities. He has advanced progressively in the environmental services field from a chemist and senior operator of a municipal wastewater treatment facility to the president of a nationally recognized contract operations company. At Aquarion Operating Services, Jack is responsible for operational performance of numerous New England contract operations as well as contributing to technical support functions for operational and management assistance projects throughout the US.
Bill Douglas
Mr. Douglass is responsible for the technical supervision of the firm’s Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities and training projects. He has over 25 years of technical and managerial experience in O&M and contract operation of wastewater and water treatment plants. He also specializes in start-up activities and in developing and implementing training, troubleshooting, and competitive benchmarking programs for water and wastewater treatment systems. He is well known and respected in the wastewater and water treatment fields throughout the United States as well as internationally for his leadership in institutional development projects in Canada, Egypt (USAID), and the Caribbean.
Stan Flower
Mr. Flower is recognized nationally as an expert on contract operation of water and wastewater facilities. He has over 40 years of operations and management experience and involvement with contract operations since 1963, having held senior level positions in several operations firms. His experience spans water, wastewater, groundwater remediation, sludge treatment, and cogeneration facilities. He has negotiated union contracts at over ten contract operations facilities. He is a top-certified wastewater operator in several states and has held leadership roles with several professional associations.
Len De Jong
Mr. DeJong has over 25 years in public utility water systems management, including senior-level leadership. He has extensive experience in operations, customer service, finance, engineering, project management, and regulatory relations for private and municipal water utilities. His experience includes the management of both very large and small utility systems, currently overseeing the contract operations of over 30 water and wastewater systems in Connecticut and New York. Active in professional organizations, he is the recipient of numerous awards and is currently a Board member of the American Water Works Association and Water For People.
W.A. (Wiff) Peterson
Mr. Peterson, is a nationally recognized trainer and expert in contract operations. He draws on over 30 years of experience in training, troubleshooting, and operating water, wastewater, and groundwater remediation facilities. His responsibilities comprise planning, directing, and executing services associated with contract operations, operator training, plant start-up, operations assistance, facility evaluations, computer applications within the O&M field, quality control, and technology transfer. He has been involved with over 100 contract operations projects, and has worked with over two dozen public water and wastewater utilities in the areas of competitive benchmarking and cost-optimization as alternatives to contract operation. His operator training and optimization experience includes extensive work with chemical and biological nutrient removal and advanced wastewater treatment, and he has filled leadership roles with several environmental organizations including the Water Environment Federation, the New England Water Environment Association, and the National Environmental Training Association.
